This BOF should take place after http://dc2009.drupalcon.org/session/druplicon-stars-groundhog-day-how-st... as well as after http://dc2009.drupalcon.org/session/drupal-patterns-managing-and-automat...

The point of the BOF is to discuss more in-depth how people are building Drupal sites and features within Drupal sites using accelerated and/or prefabricated methods. Based on these two presentations, it's clear there are a few different approaches. When should you use which? Are there points of collaboration? The goals of this BOF are to discover methods people are using, run through the core aspects of those methods, and ideally come away w/ a better view of the lay of the land and the direction the approaches are headed.

Count me in. I'm hoping that we can collaborate on these goals and that our efforts towards this can be combined. :-) Here is a list of some of the projects that are working towards these same goals as well:

Context/Spaces: http://drupal.org/project/context & http://drupal.org/project/spaces
Patterns/Configuration Framework: http://drupal.org/project/patterns & http://drupal.org/project/configuration
Bones: http://drupal.org/project/bones
Bundles: http://drupal.org/project/bundles

Count me In. I am interested.

Good idea

Re-using components from one project to the next is something that I get better at with each site I make, but I still have a long way to go. No doubt I'll have a bit to share in this session, and a lot to listen to. See you in DC, Ian!

This does sound interesting. Subscribing.
