Eat+Drink
Everyone needs to eat, and one of the best ways to get to know other Drupal developers and users is over a warm plate and a cold beer. These are some great nearby options. We'll keep adding to this list too. If you're vegetarian or vegan, there is some great local information here.
Fado Irish Bar: Good food, good beer, and great fireplaces. This is a great place to go to eat or drink with a big group. It does get crowded, but don't be bashful about elbowing your way to the bar.
RFD: It's known for it's beer menu, which is pages long and features beer from every country that brews it. With long tables and a ton of space, this is a great place to come with a big group. The menu is mostly bar food and sandwiches, but it's tasty.
Chinatown Express: This is a must do for any noodle fan. Chinatown express is one of the best, authentic restaurants in the neighborhood. They make their own noodles - as you'll see in the window as you walk by. Meals are very affordable and service is fast.
Matchbox: This is a very popular restaurant known for it's delicious sliders (mini hamburgers) and pizza, which is cooked in a wood oven stove. It also gets crowded, so you might want to call as you walk to get your name on the list.
Thai Tanic: This is a mix between a traditional Thai restaurant and a diner (or at least as close as DC comes to having one), and has great food at great prices. Try the drunken noodles or the panang tofu, and check out the wine list with several bottles under $25.
Rosa Mexicana: Amazing guacamole and a fun atmosphere. It's a great place to come for a stiff margarita or a fancy cocktail.
