I'd like to get together with other people who either contribute to the RDF* modules or who have an interest in discussing the future of RDF in Drupal.

At present there are many RDF modules emerging from various use cases, and it's great to see more people getting their hands dirty and contribute ideas and code. I've started some work to integrate some RDFa bits in core, and I'm trying to push a more centralized method of defining semantics "from the ground up" in such a way that core and contrib can both reuse them. I'd like to discuss it further and establish a roadmap for RDF in core and contrib.

It'd be interesting to have some use cases brought to the discussion, whether it is already supported by the current RDF modules or not, so that we can have practical goals in mind. Please come along and explain what you would want to express in RDF and what type of application you envision.

count me in! :)

I would love to talk about these things. When do you think this BoF will be?

after the 2 other semantic web sessions. most likely on Thursday afternoon or Friday.

I'm in.

Looking forward to talk RDF.

Count me in!

I've scheduled this for tomorrow morning after the keynote (and after Boris' session) at 11:30. I hope this is not too late notice.

somehow I assumed all the BoFs rooms have a projector. 140B does not have one. bummer. So I suggest we go and all have lunch early (around 12) and talk RDF. Then we can squad one of the main rooms (open calais).

Since it seems we'll have a broad audience, it makes more sense to split this BoF into 2 BoFs. So today I'll present what you can already do in Drupal 6, and explain a bit more what tools I used to build what's shown on the screencast. The second BoF (to be scheduled for tomorrow) will focus more on the roadmap, based on what I'll present today. We will be able to discuss what we want to have into core and what should remain in contrib, and make decisions on who works on what in the timeline left until September 1st.

I've schedule the next BoF for tomorrow afternoon at 4:15. see http://dc2009.drupalcon.org/node/4654. We'll talk more specifically about the RDF roadmap in core.
