Drupal in Libraries
If there are enough librarians out there for a Drupal4Lib email list to exist, surely there's enough of us to do a BoF? While I'm still not 100% that I can attend, I wanted to put a placeholder in the forum before I emailed the Drupal4Lib list about DC*DC so I'd be able to include a link in the yet-to-be-sent email.
If you're one of us (a librarian or other library employee interested in or working with Drupal) and you're not on the Drupal4Lib email list, you can subscribe at http://listserv.uic.edu/archives/drupal4lib.html The website's at drupalib.interoperating.info.

No question about it. We had a great Libraries BoF in Boston, and I look forward to having another in Washington.

Yay! Yours was one of the names I was hoping would pop up. :)

newbies welcome?
If you're willing to let a library newbie come then I'll be there ;)
I'm doing work with 2 different libraries now and there seem to be a lot more on the horizon who are using Drupal in my area, so it will be great to talk with others about their needs.
Thanks Cary and domesticat for organizing this.
Everyone's a noob once!
You should definitely come, even if you're new -- actually I'd say especially if you're new. I've been in the library field for a shade over two years, been working with drupal for about 1.5 of them, and this is my first drupalcon. In the time I've been doing geek work for a library I've learned that fellow geek librarians are fantastic resources for code, ideas ... and sometimes just sympathetic ears over a couple of pints.
I'm in!
Definitely =) This will be my first DrupalCon and I'm eager to meet everyone...! And share our experiences with Drupal, Solr, the Millennium module, angry users, angry sysadmins and more =)
We're a SirsiDynix library
We're a SirsiDynix library but I suspect many of our experiences are similar.
I finally got word this afternoon that my employer's definitely paying for the event, so now I get to be psyched up all over again about the convention.
University Looking into Voyager Integration
We're already rolling out a Drupal social-networking/portal/groups site, but probably also changing over our CMS for the public-facing site to Drupal as well. Our campus' library folks won't be able to make it, but I'm interested if anyone out there has looked at Voyager integration...
We'll be there
There are 3 of us attending the conference from our library and we'd love to meet up. We just launched one Web site in Drupal and are porting the rest over now. We're really looking forward to brainstorming with other library folk about ways we can extend our catalog (SirsiDynix) and make the most of Drupal's features.
SD as well eh?
We're a SD library as well. I suspect we'll have things to talk about. :)
Subscribing
I'm interested.
Pick your meetup time!
I've set up a poll to find out which BoF time you'd prefer: http://groups.drupal.org/node/19278 There is, as always, the "Someone else please make up my mind for me" option. :)
Maryland Libraries Interest
I'd like to participate in a Libraries BoF next week, with my colleague Cathay. I've worked on public library web projects for 12+ years and we're exploring Drupal. I was inspired by Ellyssa's CIL2008 presentation. We signify Maryland libraries' interest in this community.
Count me in!
As Jason mentioned, we're from the Maryland Public Library network. My work involves AskUsNow! - a digital (chat) reference service. We're glad to join up at DrupalCon with others in the field.
