I heard a rumor that Washington, like Ottawa, is considered to be a bit of a government town. That got me thinking that there might be some Drupalistas operating in the public sector.

Anyone want to get together to talk about the joys of doing Drupal in the fast paced and exciting world of government?

I'm definitely interested to meeting with people interested in meeting about government & Drupal. There are a number of government departments in Canada that we are working with on Drupal support.

With any luck someone from the http://recovery.gov team will be there too.

I will definitely stop by. In my case it's slightly different organization. I've moved a large site from proprietary system to drupal; that is a program of National Guard Bureau called National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program. (I have a multi site setup going there. It's still being rolled out, some of the local state sites are about to move to Drupal, but I'd say 80% of the site is already running drupal).

Thanks

Was good to meet you at the BoF, thanks for participating!

The government group that was mentioned is here - http://groups.drupal.org/local-government

Might need to have a few more government discussion forms in GDO, but really not sure how the municipal government of Toronto is much different from the provincial website of PEI is much different from the country of Belize.
