I'm currently hosting about 60 sites on a multisite configuration and learning anything about how to make it easier to manage would be great.

We're 'multisite curious' at our University - currently using custom-built shell tools to manage many separate installations...

I use Drupal's multisite functionality to keep a single codebase which I keep improving over time. I have an initial site with all the functionality I need, then I clone it when I need a new site. There are still many things I would love to automate: updates, crons, more elegant cloning (not cloning caches, changing timestamps, etc). The idea, medium term, is to automate the process of creating new functional sites with sample content and useful modules enabled.

I am currently maintaining a 3-site multi-site, which is going to grow again in the near future. So I am very interested in what other are doing.

got 16+ and setting up another cluster that'll have 50ish so I'd love to see what other's are doing in this field. When's the BoF I haven't seen anything posted yet?
