What does Volacci do and how do you work with Drupal?

Volacci is a search engine optimization and online marketing company specializing in Drupal SEO. We are a natural partner with Drupal development companies because we do not provide Drupal development services – we are focussed on taking great Drupal sites and making them soar in Google. We created and maintain the SEO Checklist module, we are Acquia partners, and we sponsor Do It With Drupal and Drupalcon.

How did you first get involved in Drupal development?

Volacci first got involved with Drupal about 3 years ago (Drupal 4.6 was reigning at the time). We were working on an online marketing project and needed a good CMS to handle the data. I researched about 6 different open-source tools (Joomla, etc.) and simply found Drupal to be the cleanest, easiest to understand system. It has a learning curve but the code was so clean I could easily understand what was going on under the hood. Plus the community was well organized and very active – something that I didn’t find even with “bigger” CMS groups.

What type of projects do you specialize in?

We specialize in online marketing, SEO, and paid search. We’ve done projects for very large and very small Drupal sites. What are you most looking forward to at DrupalCon DC?

I am most looking forward to re-acquainting myself with all the great people who make Drupal possible. Also, I’m looking forward to the SEO session. I’m not positive but I think it’s the first SEO session at Drupalcon ever. Great stuff!
