As a Senior Developer at Promet Source for over 5 years, I am continually developing and/or overseeing the development of our many client applications. Our client needs sometimes require us to implement these applications from scratch. However, with the amount of "out-of-the-box" functionality that CMS's such as Drupal are coming standard with these days, it's a no-brainer to take advantage of these open source applications. I have implemented a few Drupal sites and have been able to plug and play quite a few contributed modules that have saved me a lot of time.

This will be my first Drupalcon conference. Being used to development from scratch, my biggest hang up working with Drupal so far, is often trying to implement a custom module exactly as I am supposed to according to the coding standards set forth by the community. I am anxious to see some samples of advanced Drupal implementations, how they were achieved and what the effect of a version upgrade had on these implementations.

See you all there!
