Shannon Lucas
Shannon Lucas has been programming and tinkering with computers since 1988. The bulk of his professional experience has been developing user interfaces for both desktop applications and web-based applications. He has worked in every phase of the software life cycle form inception and requirements gathering to user acceptance testing. He holds a Master's degree in Information Studies with an emphasis in usability, information architecture, and knowledge management. He has been working with Drupal since October of 2007.
Shannon's usability work includes co-developing the HURIE methodology, managing the usability testing of the Ion Storm game, Thief: Deadly Shadows, and conducting the usability testing of e-learning software developed for the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the WebSphere user experience team at IBM.
Shannon is a licensed paraglider pilot and SCUBA diver. When his feet are on the ground he also enjoys cycling and photography.
