I'm the new media director at KOMU.com - it's the NBC affiliate in Columbia, MO. The station is owned by the University of Missouri... and with that connection, I'm also an associate professor in the Missouri School of Journalism. I teach web-based applications for journalism. I recently wrapped up a year-long Drupal-based aggregation project called http://www.smartdecision08.com - there are so many things I would have wanted to do differently. I'm currently a fellow with the Reynolds Journalism Institute. As part of that, I'm trying to find a way to help small newspapers deliver content so it can be aggregated. I'm on the hunt for a tool that can be given to a non-tech savvy news environment. I look forward to learning a lot during Drupalcon!
