Over the last 4 and a half years I have been an architect and designer of open systems for particular use in complex emergencies, disaster response, sustainable development and capacity building. I have been happy to work with the drupal community during this time working with the worlds largest enterprise in its adoption of open source web architectures, web technologies and its adaption to social and collaborative production.

In a previous life I worked at IBM in the early days of the productization of network as operating system, object orientation and the commercialization of the Web. Later as a consultant at bricks and mortar companies looking to modernize their legacy technology infrastructures. Then back to the product R&D world, but this time in Silicon Valley working on distributed business intelligence, data analysis systems and software as service platforms.

I recently joined the Naval Post Graduate School research faculty, working toward developing a colaboratory working on economic, sociological and technological aspects of open systems, open collaboration and open source.
