We've all been to conference where the internet kicks out on the first day. That sucks, and we don't want that to happen at DrupalCon. We're looking for a team of 2 to 3 people to determine the ideal bandwidth, access points, and equipment to make sure the wireless is rock solid every day. Please volunteer here to help!

Heya, if you looking for some help, I'm here! I'll be in DC the whole week, so I could make it in before the conference starts. My background includes setting up wireless networks at my college (residence hall, common areas) and my current job.

awesome. It looks like three folks are interested already -- suggest that we get together on irc sometime soon and discuss how to get this done?

Happy to help out as well. I'm local so anytime through the conference is OK.

By examining and diagramming physical layout such as: entry/exit ways, table/chair settings, social attractors, and other environmental attributes, we can easily determine the best bandwith/access points to maximize connection strength (where people will actually gather) throughout the convention center. This is one component of my background experience, known as social architecture, which I have applied in other large festivals and conventions. I will be available from Monday Mar 2 to help out as much as needed.
