Eclipse fans using Drupal
Eclipse users/fans may want to get together and share some IDE chatter. I have a whole bunch of Code Templates I use for my Drupal development, and I'm willing to share them with others and work out what people would like to see added to the code bundle(s).
Let's also talk about Eclipse plug-ins that we all must check out. I dig Mylyn to name one.

I know I am game. At my place of work, Eclipse is the primary tool of choice.
Battling between Eclipse and
Battling between Eclipse and Komodo lately ... would like to share some stories.

Looking forward to this. I have been using Komodo edit mostly, but I really could use the version control features and the boss want's me to use eclipse instead of paying for Komodo IDE.

Sounds good to me. Finding an IDE has been a bit of a struggle for me, and I'm using eclipse mainly because it's Free. I'd love to see some ways to reduce the glitchiness in Eclipse and make it work a bit better with Drupal. For example, being able to have it autocomplete hooks would be awesome.
NetBeans
I've also been struggling over the "rigiht" Drupal IDE for some time, and the last couple of years have mostly been using Eclipse. Great in some ways, a serious pain in others. Recently, I decided to try some other options, including Komodo 5, Coda, and NetBeans 6.5, which just came out.
To my surprise, NetBeans came out WAY ahead of the others and I have been very happy since. Right out of the box, it has excellent SVN and CVS integration, support for PHP, CSS, and Javascript, and xdebug based debugging that worked with no issues.
NetBeans has Drupal features
There's some Drupal wizard to help start a module file, from what I've heard. That sounds neat.
Maybe an IDE Hunt BoF is what we really need, not just Eclipse fans. Thoughts?
P.S.> Those who know me, know that I use both Dreamweaver and Eclipse.
Opening it up to all IDE's
Opening it up to all IDE's sounds good to me. Especially as many of us would have to work with others using other IDE's; knowing some things about them would make a lot of sense.
Yay
I love IDE hunting.
no flamewar
Instead of having a comparison/flamewar of IDEs I'd rather see just a discussion about Eclipse and Drupal.
I agree
It would get rather unwieldy if we threw all other options in the mix. I am sure the others will come up in conversation; that is inevitable. It would be best to keep the conversation on one platform as much as possible.
