Carla Briceno
Co-founder of Bixal Solutions, a strategy, design and development firm focused on helping companies and organizations connect with the Hispanic Market in the U.S. and Latin America.
For the past two decades Carla has worked with companies, non-profit organizations and consumers in the U.S. Hispanic community and in Latin America.
Her experience includes serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Guatemala; directing a nonprofit program for the Mexican community in Southern California; managing projects and conducting survey research in Central and South America with an international development organization that helps small farmers identify more competitive markets for their products; and developing websites and web applications for SRA, Sallie Mae and Sprint.
Prior to focusing on Bixal Solutions, she worked on Sprint Nextel’s Hispanic corporate website where she managed and grew the Hispanic eCommerce Team and provided leadership on three major Web initiatives.
Her unique career path has allowed her to develop a strong understanding of the Hispanic market, solid experience in the web development field, and an excellent understanding of the key technical and marketing issues in developing Web solutions for the online Hispanic Market.
Carla has a Certificate in Business Programming from the Chubb Institute, an M.A. in International Public Administration and Advanced Spanish from the Monterey Institute of International studies, and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from California State University, Long Beach.
A native English speaker, she is fluent in Spanish and possesses strong writing, editing and translating skills in both.
