So we talked about this last night on DrupalMAO and we're slightly distraught that Watchmen is coming out during the Con... so let's get everyone together to figure out where to go and see if we can't rent out a whole theater!

What night is best for everyone? Opening?

What is the best theater to go to?

Can we getta link to fandango or something?

Hey All...
We've started a Drupalcon DC Meetup map. The goal is to give a list of bars and restaurants in the area where we can all hang out and increasing the chance of running into other Drupal folks after the sessions end. It also includes places like Staples and The Apple Store for your tech needs.

Ethiopian Uberdinner

For lack of a better forum (i.e. general social events forum), I wanted to get a thread going here to coordinate the DC Uberdinner. Last year we had a killer time getting folks building Ubercart sites (and folks who just wanted to hang out) together for a yummy Ethiopian dinner in Boston, and we're looking to do it again.

In my travels I like to take in hockey games where I can, especially when I can scratch an NHL rink off of the "to-visit" list.

Lincoln tour

I visited D.C. when I was about 11 and I took the Lincoln tour, which might seem morbid to some but was fascinating to me, seeing the famous play house and the final resting place of the former president. The surrounding area seemed almost untouched in terms of architecture, and D.C. has tons of wonderful buildings and the monuments are top.

special zoo tour

My wife will be joining me at Drupalcon this year. We used to live in DC until recently and as it happens, she used to be a zoo tour guide at the National Zoo. If anyone is particularly interested in primates, she can give you a brief tour with more info.
